Our humble little website was founded in a small 1 room cabin in the mountains just outside of Tonasket, Washington. The winters can be brutal, summers can be hot, the soil can be rocky, but the prospect of creating a place that can enable us to live sustainably is too good to pass up.
We have a killer view, a well, a garden, a water tower under construction, organic certification, and a little hope.
We also have plans to keep bees, construct a root cellar with a smoker right behind that.
When we are not building our garden or maintaining our property, we are hiking in the valley just down from us. Huge hills are all around and hearing the leaves of the aspen groves around us brings a sense of calm.
Learning ways to reduce your carbon footprint and leave the Earth a better place for future generations is the purpose of our site. Green tips, Eco-friendly discussion, and sustainability concerns are why greenmi.net was founded.
Some people believe that global warming and other ecological concerns are a rouse to breed fear and consumerism. We have no idea as to whether this is true or just hype, but we believe it is proper to leave a place in better shape than what we found it, so that’s our goal.
We believe that there is much more to be done by everyone to help make our planet as sustainable as possible for as long as possible.
We invite you to leave comments, join the discussion, and share!
